I was in Johannesburg towards the end of June 2023. The weather during this time of the year is very pleasant and was perfect for a Jungle safari.

I was in staying in a Hotel in Sandton and I asked the staff about nearest jungle safari. They told me about a Lion and Safari Park about 50 kms from the hotel and also referred me a taxi driver.
Fortunately, the taxi driver, Dimitre, also happened to be a certified tour guide and we were able to do the whole safari in our car inside the park. This was truly a great experience. Like an experienced tour guide, Dimitre took me to all the enclosures - Lions, Cheetahs, wild dogs, and the open wild.
